What
Does ChangeDetect Do?
In order to save you the trouble of having to keep
checking back to see if a page has been updated, we've
hooked up with ChangeDetect.com.
They provide a FREE service
that automatically watches the web page every day and
notifies people who've signed up via email that the
page changed.
Many people are rightly concerned about privacy
with regards to their email address. Rising Stars
Events does not capture your email address if you sign
up for page monitoring, nor does
changedetect.com
provide it to us. Obviously, they need your email
address for the service to work, and they're concerned
about privacy as well. Here's their privacy policy,
from their web site:
"Personal information provided to
ChangeDetect is not shared with any other entity
without your permission. Your email address is used
for providing the ChangeDetect page monitoring
service."
So, here's all you need to do to turn on the
service:
- In the box, change the "Enter Your
Email" text to your full email address.
- Click the "Click" button.
- A new browser window will open, with the webpage
address and your email address displayed.
- Click the "Submit" button.
- A new browser window will open, with the
"Data OK, confirmation email sent"
message.
- That's it! Now whenever we change or update the
page, you'll get an email message letting you
know.
